Fuels/Lubes  07/11/18 12:52:14 PM

Union County Co-op gets its fuels and lubricants from Countrymark's refinery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. CountryMark crude comes from the Illinois basin, an area known for its highly desirable, naturally sweet crude. It was established in 1940 and is still operating in the same way. The private 238-mile pipeline from Mt. Vernon, Indiana to terminals in Switz City, Jolietville, and Peru is a closed distribution system. The refinery processes more than 28,000 barrels of crude per day, working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The crude at the refinery is processed into Top Tier light, clear gasoline and diesel fuel, and also heating fuel, industrial fuel, kerosene, and propane. The remainder of the crude is sold for road oils and asphalt. For further information on our fuels and lubricants, go to www.CountryMark.com.
